Since my last visit in a Cinema (TRON Legacy*) I want to know how the Internet could be visualized.

On the Wikipedia-Page about the Internet, there is a beautiful Picture (Internet_map_1024.jpg). But I can’t recognize something.

Much more useful to me are the drawings of Chris Harrison.

Due to reduction to the links between the big Cities, those drawings are more readable.

To show the connections between the computers in the world you have to known them. And if, how many links and from where they are coming and to where they are going. The Opte-Projekt tried to answer those questions. The results are beautiful graphics, showing the high complexity of the Internet.

One problem is the fact that links can exist physical and logical.  With other words: A physical data cable connects always two points. But via this cable several logic connections can be established, mostly even simultaneously.

One can try to display the physical links. But even then I didn’t get the links of the Internet. A logic connection of two computers somewhere in the world goes always over several physical links.

Displaying all these logic links of the Internet seems for me impossible, but fascinates me enormous.

Now agricultural towers are coming to town?

We humans multiply us on Earth, without the possibility to expand. Not later than in the Years around 2050 we will be more than 9 Billions. And all want to eat and drink!
