Airships do allure me very strong.  On the following pages I try to explain why. Surely the most people know airships, some guess and only a few really don’t know them. There is a fine article about at Wikipedia.

When I think of Airships, of course about the huge Zeppelins of Graf Zeppelin. Such a Zeppelin is to me the real incarnation of an airship! This majestic gliding…without motion of the sea!
Today (2010) it seams that this sector of aviation is really unknown to the general public.

It’s sad, there was a time, when everybody knew them or even saw one by himself. Airships has been at the beginning of the 20th century to nearly all over the World, yes even in the arctic zone! Whereas many advantages of this kind of aircraft has shown:

• Long runways are unnecessary, a clearing or meadow will suffice.
• Energy saving, only little work is necessary to stay in the air.
• Cargo transport is over long distances and very gentle possible
• Big space for Passengers and/or Freight possible.
• Quiter than airplanes
• Widely unattached by weather, except heavy winds (stormes).

Due to this characteristics various capabilities arise even now.
