The US-based Corporation Solopower offers elastic photovoltaic modules. Low weight and easy to mount, these modules are perfect for bent hall roofs.  Thanks to a newly copper-indium-gallium-selenid-composition (CIGS) the efficiency is up to 19.9 %.

Some possible fields of application:

  • bent facades
  • roofs
  • balloons/airships
  • airplanes
  • bags and backpacks
  • tents/camping
  • busses, trucks and cars
  • Laptop cases
  • foldable universal modules

Maybe in the near future one can use such solar modules instead of foil to darken the car’s windows, who knows?
